Cher's New Year's Message: "Never Give Up"

Cher, 2013
"Queen of longevity" Cher told fans to "never give up" in her New Year's message.

A week after she told her near-2,000,000 Twitter followers to love one another in her Christmas message, Cher returned to the social networking site to leave a New Year's message.

In the message, the 67-year-old urged her "crew" (the name of her fans) to follow their dreams and to "never give up":

"New Year's wishes for my crew... Once a day to be able to feel 'I'm happy', one friend to reach out to, one dream to follow, believe you are special because you are. I honestly hope that this is your best year ever! Whether you are young or old, it doesn't matter as dreams can't count. Never give up! Never forget that you are valuable."

Cher fulfilled her teenage dream of becoming a star and continues to achieve career-firsts at age 67. She achieved her highest-ever Billboard 200 debut and highest solo Billboard 200 peak this year with new album 'Closer To the Truth', and became the oldest woman to have a UK Top 40 single with 'I Hope You Find It'. She will turn 68-years-old mid-way though her 'Dressed To Kill Tour' next year.

Happy New Year everyone!
